CANADIAN AGORA
The Department has launched the Spousal Employment Database, “The Canadian Agora” on October 28th at our Wine and Cheese. This database is easier for rotational spouses to access and to post their resume, and it provides more convenient search options for prospective employers. Links to relevant sites providing information on spousal employment abroad will also be included.
The key component is your résumé!
Your participation in populating this new database is essential to offer a wide selection of talented candidates with international experience to the international market and assure its regular use by potential employers. Spouses with accounts in the current system need to ensure that relevant information is up to date and accurate.
The “Canadian Agora” has been launched in the Skelton Lobby of the Lester B. Pearson Building on the 28th of October 2003 by M. Peter Harder. Since there is about 125 spouse of rotational employees that have their resume on line. Some of them have found jobs thanks to the “Canadian Agora”.
