The Carleton University Learning in Retirement (LinR) Program offers day-time, non-credit courses in English for retired or semi-retired persons who are interested in learning for the fun of learning. Subject areas may include history, geology, literature, art history, physics, sociology, religion, psychology, technology, and political science. Courses are usually taught by retired Carleton professors.

  • Four sessions during Fall, Winter, and Spring
  • Eight courses per session
  • Courses are scheduled during the morning or afternoon for two hours a week, for six weeks
  • No exams, no essays, no grades, or prerequisites
  • $90 per course
